PROJECT DESCRIPTION
Large areas of the courtyard playground at Lamar Elementary once flooded after nearly storm. This specially designed planting area captures, filters, and directs up to 7,500 gallons of rainwater in 24 hours while providing outdoor classroom seating, boulder scrambling, and educational opportunities. According to one group of Lamar E.S. students, the native grasses are fantastic for a game of "foxes"!
